Danny Glover, world-renowned and well-respected actor and activist visited Gary on Saturday April 25, to make a presentation on the revitalization of cities and communities on Health Wellness and Prosperity.
Glover and his group I.N.S.P.I.R.E. (Individuals, Networking, to Support, Prosper, Rejuvenate and Empower) presented information on how people can live productive, healthy, and prosperous lives at the St. James Baptist Church where the pastor is the Rev. Roosevelt Bradley, Jr.
Glover has traveled the world as an ambassador of goodwill and helping human kind by visiting communities around the world. He has served the United Nations as goodwill ambassador for U.N.I.C.E.F. development programs and for the past year as chairman of the Trans African Forum.
Glover shared the positive and productive changes that he has found to be effective in combating the negative trends of this time in our history with his audience.
He said, “Excellent health and wellness has propelled itself to the forefront of our concern in the United States because we have come to the realization that as a whole our country and kindred have not lived healthy lifestyles. We also know that the majority of our family and friends who are currently in foreclosure would still be in their homes if they had as little as $300 to $500 a month of additional income.”
